Thanks, John! I really liked that. The M/S worked well for me: very nice image. (I've always worried about mixing two really different mics' and still don't know anything about ribbons --- don't they need extra preamplification or can the SD do enough of that (it seems)?) I like your recording better with headphones than my desktop computer speakers, but that could well be the speakers. The Magpie is spectacular. I need to arrange to hear it in person sometime. SP |
