First of all, I'd like to express my gratitude to all who suggested
ideas for my quest to get organised - it is much appreciated! I've got
lots to sift through...

Secondly, please accept my apologies for not replying sooner. My
primary storage hard drive (the one I was intending to 'get
organised') had recently crashed, and this weekend is the first chance
I've had to rebuild it. With over 700GB of stuff, it's a slow, painful
and nerve-wracking experience, as I'm sure many of you would know.

The rebuilding and transferring of files is still happening as I write
this, but it seems as though I have lost nothing. But more about that
in another thread (see 'The Wonders of FAT32?').

Thanks again for all of your suggestions...
