Hi Greg S,

I think FileMaker Pro (FMP) can be a good option, specially for your
needs (organize pictures, video and other multimedia files). FMP can
be used in both Windows or Mac platforms.

I had the chance to see Greg Weddig's Nature Data Base, it is great!
