oops hit "send", too soon - ignor last post of mine what I meant to send was Thanks Eric, that is really informative But Re "The dynamic range was about 88-89 dB, the same whether the input was the mic input or the line input. " Are you saying the "front end" noise is insignificant compared to the basic= A/d noise? (which is not too scummy IMO, at this price, at circa -88dB Fs? IE it "self Dithers" at about the 15/16th bit point. BTW Did you get a S/n figure with inputs shorted? Or get an opportunity to= see if in 24bit mode there was any valid audio data amongst the noise?
