I had a chance to use one a couple of weeks ago, and make a few bench tests=
with it. The frequency response, from the line inputs, is down about 0.4 d=
B
at 20 Hz and at 20 kHz. From the mic inputs it has the same HF response,
but the low end is down about 7 dB at 20 Hz. The dynamic range was about
88-89 dB, the same whether the input was the mic input or the line input.
It didn't matter much whether 16-bit or 24-bit recording was used. The
noise floor is pretty much free from spurious noise, like tones or birdies.
I used it in 16-bit 48 kHz mode exclusively, and it worked just fine. But =
I
like the Microtrack 2496 much bettter, because of the way that the controls=
work and for the larger screen.

Yes, but the only reason that I would choose the Zoom H2 over the M-Audio
Microtrack would be either for its lower cost, or for its internal
4-microphone array.
