With some it is possible to hook a codec up to the front end to encode aud= io into a mono or stereo stream at 64 kbps or even 128 kbps MP2. All this can be battery-packed, but power consumption is pretty high so battery life will be pretty short unless a LOT of battery weight is packed = in along with the gear. And the per-minute charges for satphones are pretty steep too, in the range= of $5-10 per minute for the data rates mentioned above. --Flawn Williams ************** Start the year off right.
