This is one feature M-Audio is changing in the new Microtrack II. The
new machine is supposed to provide the full 48 volts DC. Look at
group message # 30027 and the following discussion for more details
about this new recorder.

The dates M-Audio mentioned for release of the Microtrack II have
already come and gone, so there's no good estimate of when it might be
available. Many online vendors have set a price of $300 when the
Microtrack II finally arrives.
