So if you get the right cable then it will work >presumably. Many, if not most, 48V phantom mics will work fine powered down to as low as 20V. Some even on 12V. Try it and see. You must wire the phone plug balanced (XLR pin 2 to tip, pin 3 to ring) for phantom power to work.
