i built the full size version of it about 20 years ago, but my problem was that 
i only had omni capsules and very bad ones at that and the test was not very 
successful.

recently i made a very short version of it with just 13 tubes. i have to try it 
out (plan to, with a tsb2555) if anyone wants, i will post photos coming monday.

my five-capsule plate microphone too should be ready by then. be ready for some 
photos.

If you want to try one someday, go cheap with some plastic plumbing 
pipe. Might be larger in diameter and look like an anti-tank weapon, 
but it's a fun project. I'm building a new parabolic dish myself. Just 
need to pick a microphone from the pile I have and see what happens.
