In addition to the Wl=3D183 Shure also supplies this mic as the MX183. This is mic bundled with a matched belt clip phantom powered preamp, so you get balanced output in addition to not needing separate batteries if you have phantom power available. And some extra gain if needed. The preamp is adjustable for a couple gain choices. 0dB or 12dB According to the circuit diagram it's supplying 2.1volts to power the mic. Just another choice, I have a pair of MX183's since I have phantom power available. Walt |
