Hi Paul--
It depends a bit on the type of EQ you like or need. What audio app
do you use?
I often do a lot of very narrow notching along with more traditional
parametric and shelving EQ-- all at the same time. Equim/Uniquel-izer
allow one to use many kinds of EQ and up to 99 "bands" with good
transparency and low CPU usage. They later makes for responsive
real-time previewing which is a key performance factor for me.
Equim/Uniquel-izer enjoys a good reputation in several audio
disciplines for transparency and accuracy.

The higher, Roger Nichols price is unfortunate. There's a 14 day free
trial. The rival plugs I hear discussed seem to cost as much or more.
I don't know why the pro editors don't include a comparable EQ plug,
but the "stock" ones I've tried in Logic, ProTools and Audition seem
quite crude in comparison. I'm always open to new EQ options. Rob D.
