You might want to consider the Shure A95F camcorder interface: http://www.shure.com/ProAudio/Products/Accessories/us_pro_A96F_content In addition to the XLR to 3.5mm plug conversion, this gadget helps raise the impedance of the mic output closer to the impedance of the minidisc input. Shure's documentation say this can result in a gain of 6dB, meaning the signal recorded by the minidisc will be noticeably louder than without the impedance matching. Impedance matching gadgets are available from Electrovoice and Radio Shack as well as Shure. I've got one, and it has the effect Shure claims. --oryoki |
