I have no comparison to other such relatively small digital recording
units. I use it for my CD & DVD Productions and have to say I'm very
impressed. Overall quality of sound is very good. Easy to use. I have
no need for all the extra knobs on larger mixing consoles. I'm a
straight through recording type, recording the sond as it is. It's a
joy being able to record for several hours remembering the 80's where
I used cassette tapes and had to very quickly reverse them in a dead
moment during a concert.

Roland states batterylife of about 2 hours I think. I was thinking of
trying to find a seperate 9V batterypack. Haven't looked yet, but
surely somebody must have something like that. Batterypacks for mini
DV videocameras last me well over 2 hours and can be recharged. Do
you use rechargable batteries? That would serve me quite well.
