Hi Dave,
Chopping the cords is one way to go, but you can also leave the cords
intact and make an adapter cable. For that you will need a couple
TA4-M connectors. I use a 10' adapter cable which works great when you
need some distance, like when strapping the mics up a tree trunk or
out on a rock in a stream.
