I have not heard of the Reinhardt Whisper, I will have
to take a look.
As regards the Telinga it is outside my price range
plus I would find it rather 'cumbersome' to carry. I
can slip a K6/ME66 with Rycote softie into the inside
pocket of my Barbour and have the Sony Hi-MD machine
in one of the outside pockets. Then with binoculars
around my neck and tripod and telescope over my
shoulder I am off.
I know what you mean about Crossbill's, I can still
remember the neck ache I got from watching them in the
top of some larches for the very first time. Why is it
the bird you want to look at is right at the top of
the tree you are directly under?! :-))
Not had any Crossbills around here for a while, nice
bird.
Regards
Phil
