Hi John
I had the same problem with Firefox. Apparently Quicktime has taken
over flash media. Try this- go to "control panel" and open Quicktime>
click on "Browser" tab> click "MIME Settings"> under "Images- Still
images" uncheck "Flashpix image"> under "Miscellaneous" uncheck "Flash
Media"> click "OK"> click "Apply". If you had your internet browser
open while you were doing this close it and the next time you open it
the Quicktime logo with the question mark should be gone. If it has
not there are a number of files that need to be corrected. To do this
follow the instructions from this web page-
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Flash
- about halfway down the page there is a heading "Quicktime plugin
takes over flash" that has links to instructions on how to do it. Hope
this helps!
