Thanks for the reply. I'm just waiting for it to warm up again so I can get
out there and experiment with recording them again.
I know what you mean about trying to get both the loud "peents" and the
fluctuating flight song...that'll be interesting, and probably something
best suited for a mic array of some sort (which would probably be easy in a
field with a dependable woodcock population). Now, I'm just using a
Sennehiser ME66 and Marantz PMD670 - do you know anything about the
modifications people are making to this unit (removing the speaker and
built-in mic, etc.) and if so, does it make a noticeable difference?
