Fantastic sounds, what an experience.
I have on many occasions been so close to a subject that the levels are 'a =
bit hot' but these seem ok and certainly don't go 'over' in my playback set=
-up. I like to have the level control to hand so hang the recorder round my=
neck whenever possible for ease of use. The end-on meter and dual level co=
ntrols on the PMD660 are good for this. Fiddling with tiny MD buttons is mo=
re difficult depending on situation.
The matter of size referred to in your blurb is also dear to me as I am 6'5=
and 240lbs and find concealment an issue sometimes. As I mature I find get=
ting in and out of hides and cover more arduous.
Spring is well up and running in southern UK, we hardly had a winter and my=
 local patch is very active.
Happy listening
