Rob D. > The CD-R and DVD-R medium is barely archival, particularly the brands that folks typically use. You have to transfer a fair bit to be safe for 30 years. The MD leg of your archive will occupy a lot less space than the larger disks. You will probably find transfer issues with CD-R & DVD-R in the next 30 years.
