Spot on my friend! I don't think there is anyone in this group as good as
you for finding out information, I did find a couple of adaptors that may do
the trick but they are to be used with drivers and may have a little
difficulty with the FAT system. I also found this..

Re-reading Martyn's question about a PCMCIA adapter,
I may have mis-understood. The Nagra Ares PII+
needs a PCMCIA adapter to accept Compactflash
cards and Microdrives as recording media. I think the
logical choice of adapter would be the product Nagra
itself offers:
