Yes Dana, that is the materiel but contrary to what they say on the web
page, it does repel the water away from the mic. Take a look at this other
web page also, they describe exactly as I do...

It is described as a "rain diffuser" that effectively breaks up rain drops=
so they will not be recorded. It says, however, that it does not keep the
rain out, which makes it sound as if it would be a good choice for
recording until it starts pouring.
