<<<<<I am going to do pro quality sound recording of different kinds of
sources, most of these
nature sounds. I wonder if anyboby has view on what microphones to get, and
also other
gear like recorder. I have looked into getting edirol r-09 but fear that th=
e
preamps are not
good enough. They will anyway not be able to run something like Rode NT5s o=
n
phantom
power. Any ideas? My budget is around =A31000, and I live in London. Open t=
o
used gear if
there is anything suitable around.

Welcome to the group Sveinung=85=85.
You are going to do professional sound recording and you want to buy gear
for a grand! do you have any gear at the moment?
The reason I ask is that you are going to be a little disappointed of the
cost of things. To buy a recorder with a decent pre-amp will cost you over =
=BE
of your budget and I am quoting you a bottom of the range recorder=85..
Now, if you want to go into nature recording without the professional entry=
,
then that=92s a different matter=85..
To start off with pro sounding mics and recorders you are looking at more
like 4000 quid=85=85=85
