I've used the Anabat detector from Titley Electronics. It's part of a system that includes software to analyze the recordings, and to transpose them to a range audible to homo sapiens. Their web site is http://www.titley.com.au/batdetection.htm Incidentally, it's good that bat vocalizations are beyond our normal hearing. The sound pressure level can be as much as 120 dB, depending on the species and how close you are. --oryoki |
