Speaking of which, here's a couple clips from the Warner Valley area of
Oregon, taken on my trip out west over a year ago. They are up for some
folks to check out, but I'll take anyone's ideas. I'm interested in the
frogs, not the birds. I should have gotten to these a while ago, now
trying to clear up all back obligations.

According to my notes it's Road 3-13A at a cattle corral. The gazetteer
lists a spring near there. The entire area was assorted small trickles
to small streamlets, small puddles, etc. very wet. Seemed to be numerous
small springs as source. It's on Twelvemile Creek. I had just turned
back on the road as it was too soft for even 4X4 driving any farther. It
was below the tree line off the paved road that runs south of Plush down
to hwy 140, listed as county road 3-13. Elevation on my notes is 5365'
GPS N 42=B0 22.002', W 120=B0 01.673'. You can hear the distant cattle.
Recorded 4/30/05. Cloudy, occ misty rain, not all that far below the
snow line. First one about sunset, second in the pitch black dark. The
background sounds are water and wind, not mic noise.
Both of these were recorded with the high tripod with the SASS. Frogs
were spread over a wide area.
