Hi, I'm currently being torn between which of these 2 single point stereo mics to get. I know they are quite different mics as the VP88 is M/S and X/Y switchable, but I'm more interested in self-noise. I don't seem to be able to find anything about the Sennheiser MKE44-p, despite extensive searching. Is there anyone out there who could shed some light on the Sennheiser and maybe offer a comparison with the Shure? I'll be using it mainly to record outdoor soundscapes and atmospheres onto a Sound Devices 702, hence my concern with self-noise. Many thanks in advance, Dave. |
