I'm okay with a brown or tan color too. The fox does look
interesting. Its description indicates that its the same fiber with
more weight (density), but it could work fine.

I'm not sure they're give you samples large enough to field test, but
you can detect high Hz absorption by moving large swatches over your
ears.  I've encountered no fiber-to-fiber sounds even with very
cheap, stiff, costume gorilla fur. I have some very dense fake wolf
fur that I wouldn't use everyday, but it makes recording in strong
winds possible when my less dense fur can't. (with high Hz loss).

The mill doesn't have all of their products available "over the
counter" in the 15 yard rolls. If you ask for several samples, you
might want to make sure they are available in the 15 yard rolls.
I'll go with what the group thinks is preferable both in type and
amount from 1-5 yards. Rob D.
