Never a dull moment!
At four this morning I was near giving up with the Edirol 09 Plug In Power!
I decided to make another attempt with a 20 year old, very conventional FET=
transistor impedance converter / amp.
It worked!
The Edirol 09 PIP works okay if you draw very little current from it.
Preliminary conclusion: When the mic is connected, you must have a at least=
2,4 v at the input / channel + (of course) - a low noise microphone.
It's similar to the problem with the Sony High MD's: But here, the problem=
was that the PIP voltage went down below 0,6v when you connected a
microphone with a modern FET-IC, like 2SK1227.
I find it somewhat strange that you have to go 20 years back in time to
meet the modern mic input requirements and make them work!!!
But never a dull moment.
The "harmonizer" effect is a anti-phase mix which take place only when
monitoring. When monitoring a sine wave for example, one channel only, you=
can vaguely hear the tone in the other channel too, but phase distorted.
The recording is okay.
