I use the superb DPA hydrophone (8011) but it's not cheap. ($2000ish) I have
had it for around 3 years and its response is second to none...

Subject: [Nature Recordists] Hydrophones

Hi all,

I searched for previous threads, but didn't see anything that had this
info...

What are some brands and models of hydrophones that people use here?

I assume there are scientific models that are priced into the
stratosphere, but what are the options from bottom to top? Of course
I know I could build my own too. We'll see about that.

Thanks!

Danny
