I'm using a 722, but haven't decided (and won't until I get a good MS
signal) if I want to decode in the recorder or keep the M and S tracks
(listening to the decoded LR signals in the phones) and decode later in
Audition. Suggestions?
What I'll do this summer is spend time in the red rock canyons getting as
full a stereo soundfield of natural sounds and their reverberations as I
can. ORTF blocks out a sector of sound, so does MS. I'd like to try
Blumfield, but my first tests (near-coincident Blumfield) have been less
than encouraging. Perhaps the above/below technique mentioned by Curt will
do the trick.
