My ears are fatigued after radio show (and 50something odd years),
but I thought I could hear a difference, although I couldn't
see a difference zooming in on the wave forms.

Could you line up original and memorex as mono files, invert one
and mix to "see" the difference?  I'm too tired to get that
right tonight.
