Hi Klas,
Great Test!
I can hear a slight bump up in the noise. I am glad you tested this
aspect of the MT, as I have been hearing reports that the mic powering on
the MT has yielded some very nice recordings. I think this test should be o=
f
some solace to those who think they may have made a wrong decision in the
purchase of the MT.
The fact that the MT provides 24/96 definition, gives a lot of room to
play with equalization without compromising too much loss, might result in
being able to eliminate even that small bit of hiss we are hearing here.
This 24/96 definition also allows for transparency and movement in the low
end of the recording spectrum, which is a dearly loved aspect of nature
recording for me, as I love to record thunder. The fact that this unit is s=
o
compact, has so many tricks and can still do one or two things really well
is quite amazing.
Best,
Mark
