Why not a condom??
No microphone maker should suggest such a solution in the manual. That is
probably why.
Robert Pirtzig writes in his book "Zen and the art of mending a motorbike"=
about him and his friend making the US continent on two motorbikes. Pirtzig=
probably runs an old Harley and his friend a new BMW. (my guess)
But the steering rod (??) of his friends bike is loose and he cannot
tighten the bolts more. Pirtzig suggests that he can mend it with a piece
of metal from a beer can, put inside the sleeve, but his friend prefers not=
to do that. Instead, he continues the ride with a loose steering rod. "My
new and fancy European motor bike shall not be repaired with a piece from a=
beer can...."
Impact of a condom? I would guess that if the microphone is so small that
the condom is really slack, then there is no audible impact at all, at
least not with omnis. For a NT1A you need a Swedish size. I can send
10-packs to members of this list.
