I do not believe that adding another preamp between your MS907 mic
and your HiMD recorder's mic input would lessen the noise in your
recordings because it would amplify the mic noise that will be in the
signal no matter what. Sorry the NT-4 is too heavy. The only
small-package, low-noise, high gain M-S rig I can think of (Schoeps)
is quite expensive. What are your primary recording
subjects/interests? Rob D.
