MT2496 digital input

Subject: MT2496 digital input

Hi Oryoki,
I still have to check if the MT2496 digital input does
resampling or not. I checked the PDAudio CF and it does not.

For this type of test I normally follow this procedure:

Create an "impossible" file with samples alternating among -max and
+max (-32700,+32700,-32700,+32700,....)
Play the file through a digital output
Record the digital output with the sound device I'm willing to test
Analyze the file to see if samples have the same values as the original fil=
e

If the tested device is ok I see exactly the same values...
If the tested device does resampling the values will be greatly
attenuated by the digital filter

With this procedure I verified that the PDAudio, the RME Digi96
boards and the MAUDIO Delta 1010 keep the digital data as is.

Now my MT2496 is being disassembled to make some modifications to add
a remote control.
If it will work again I'll do the digital input test...
