You know what, I said the same the other day, I am looking at my tascam DPA,
it has been used about a few dozen times and I have thought of putting it on
eBay but I feel bad about it!! Sentimental or what!!!
I remember ditching a Nagra reel-to-reel a few years ago and now I wish I
hadn't, that machine was with me for years and it felt like I had betrayed
the bloody thing...

I am not familiar with the Lunatec; I would like to hear something done on
it?

I too am amazed at how quiet the preamps are on my 722. I honestly
don't like the sound quality as much as the Lunatec preamp, but it's
probably quieter, just somehow not as 'lush' (But it's close). But
for a built-in preamp on a portable device, it's as good as I've
certainly ever seen. It's a fantastic recorder.

I still can't decide to hang onto my old DAT gear, or sell it off.
It's honestly worth so little now, I have a hard time justifying
selling it.

Another very nice recording.
