.mp3 has now caught up with .wma and offers 5.1 surround. Maybe old news to others that play in multi-channel but it is new to me. You need a soundcard that has 6 channels and it does not seem to support asio or mme drivers. Free encode and decode at: http://www.iis.fraunhofer.de/amm/download/mp3surround/technology.html If you need a file to play with and don't currently record multi-channel, I offer a "nothing special" except tufted titmouse, worm-eating warbler, acadian flycatcher, type stuff. 6 meg 5.1 channel unedited download at: http://home.comcast.net/~richpeet/050602.mp3 Rich Peet ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
