Greetings folks,
Last summer some of you helped me realize my dream of recording
crickets and cicadas! I actually burned a CD which I have sent to many
friends and correspondents.

Now I want to realize my dream of recording another creature that I
love: the wood thrush!
I've found that bird recording is much more difficult than recording
insects. I will need some kind of parabolic reflector to filter out
the traffic noise. But I don't want to spend hundreds of bucks.
I found this listing under Edmond Scientific's web page.
3053875
3" focal length, 12" dia., 0.75" center hole dia.
$29.
Does anyone have an opinion about this size of reflector? I think it's
about my range for both size and price. I want something small I can
carry as I hike in the woods.
