hello list i would like to know what the consensus is if of people recording to portable dat decks (sony tcd-8, for example) with external pre-amps (such as sound devices mp2 / mix pre). are you also using an external A/D converter (as i understand the A/D convertors of the dat decks are not optimal)? would the core sound mic2496 http://www.core-sound.com/Mic2496.html be a good solution for combining portable phantom power and A/D convertors? thanks very much for any help. and also thanks to all those who answered my questions about the tascam dp-1 decks vs. external pre-amps. best regards jason kahn ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
