For Florida Trip: Try Fakahatchee Strand (northwest of Big Cypress), and also the Loop Road in Big Cypress. Night and dawn can be very quiet along the Loop Road, unless someone is out there in a airboat. Everglades NP is pretty quiet if you get at least a third of the way down the main road. It gets noisy near Flamingo at the end of the road. Anhinga Trail, at the north end of the Park, is a really neat spot, but you can often hear rumble to the northeast.
