I know. I wasn't really referring to the inclusion of mp3 in their
Hi-MDs (which I think is more or less silly), but in their mp3-players
like the NW-HD1 (or whatever it's called).

But another $200 means one is getting rather close to something like
the Edirol R-1 or the Marantz 660. Even though these have bad-ish
pre-amps (have we confirmed that yet), they seem really convenient in
terms of transferring files digitally.

Of course, the media is expensive, so...
