When I bought my Canon S9000 printer to replace my dye sub printer I
went through comparing all kinds of ink jets with my own photos. Nothing
reached the quality of dye sub, but the Canon was closest. Epson was way
down the list as to photo quality. Even for CDs I'm looking for high
photo quality.
I'm also not a fan of Epson in other ways. Their history is of failures
to support older printers. And software problems with macs.
