Since it's not all that hard to come in with a front support, I was just
a little surprised to see such a heavy back support from you as I know
how anti to barriers you are.
Thank you no on the pink noise. I think in designing a natural audio
scene pickup that one should do it with natural sound. Pink noise is
very far from natural, especially steady state pink noise. Imposing that
on a natural audio scene and then using our own personal cognitive audio
scene analysis has just too many inconsistencies. That is unless your
purpose is to design a mic optimized for recording pink noise anomolies
in natural scenes.
Once you move into stereo, where the purpose is to capture a entire
audio scene and reconstruct it for a new listener, you can no longer
ignore what's going on in research on cognitive audio scene analysis.
Just as soon as you insert your own analysis of that scene into the
design process, you are in the thick of it.
I trust most using a stereo mic on the audio scenes that I wish to
record and optimizing the design and usage for that. It is a more time
consuming process, but the results are better.
