I'm aware of the frequency shifts for shallow water. I do get enough low
end for the frogs I've tried.

There's also the folks that claim it's entirely killed at all
frequencies by phase interactions between surface and bottom, which is
not so. Though that does make the sound in shallow water die faster.

Sounds good. I'd already written, but he's not replied as of yet.

That was done quite a bit here with gopher frogs. The gopher frog clip
on the GA frog CD is actually the hydrophone side out of a froglogger
recording done like that. With gopher frogs it's hard to tell which
media the recording is from.

So far I've not found spadefoots calling in deep enough water. Maybe
barely cover the hydrophone. I'll keep them in mind. I'm primarily
interested in some of the Ranids.
