Read through Pohlmann's stuff, lots to think about there. I was just
giving a head's up in posting about this. I'm no expert. Nice thing
about his book, it's factual, does not get into which is better too
much, just how everything works.
Pohlmann, of course, has a large section on D/A's as well. I'm sure you
have to match both ends to have any chance of preserving the quality.
I guess that's part of the problem with going 24, if your potential
audience won't have the equipment to notice.
I just wish the speaker manufacturers were a bit more sound quality
oriented. Particularly for sound quality when played softly. I swear we
had a lot better choices in the 70's. For a lot less money.
