Yes, a CF slot is listed as standard for both recorders on the Sound Designs
web site:

http://www.sounddevices.com/products/7.htm

Unless, of course, they've decided not to include the slot. Then you'd think
they would update their web site.

Here's more information about the new Sound Devices recorders.
http://www.sonicsense.com/7seriesFAQ.htm

Previously these recorders' top quantization rate was listed as 24/96.
Now it appears that the top rate is 24/192. Due to the appearance of
the Fostex FR-2, perhaps?

Recording at 24/192 requires about 2 gigabytes of data storage per
channel per hour, so the 20 gigabyte internal hard disc will fill up
fast! The recorder uses a 2.5 or .18 inch laptop drive with standard
ATA interface, less expensive than the PCMCIA hard drive used in the
FR-2, but lacking its quick eject capability.
