one goal I have in constructing synthesisers is to emulate natural sounds, for example the soundscape of the jungle or of temperate forests. A lot of birds have almost pure sinewave voices, which have various pitch and timbre profiles, that can be emulated I think using low-frequency oscillators, because this would be good parallel to the movement of the birds voice box. I'm very interested in emulating natural sounds, I had a lot of success with one sketch synthesiser which he used frequency modulation synthesis recorded and played back at various speeds. Does anyone have any links about birds acoustics and anatomy that could help research for a bird synthesiser? The synthesis engine in question is reaktor www.nativeinstruments.com [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ |
