The hiss sounds to me to be mic. hiss most likely
caused by to high a gain setting.  The effects of
humidity on the Rode mics. was a problem that I found
intolerable, a pity as otherwise they seem to be good
value. The clips I listened to were very nice, good
atmospheres.
