Tivo is a hard disk recorder that has taken over from VHS in the States;
it's nearly one of the best things since sliced bread on the TV market. You
can basically freeze live TV and walk back to it and resume from where you
left off. While it's recording too, you can watch anything you like that has
been pre-recorded. It learns the types of programs you like and records them
for you or you can have a "season pass" and record all your favorite shows.
I would never go back to VHS Klas; I believe they are getting big in the UK
too.
