They are those things you throw back in the box when you get out the
software disk. The thick things in shrinkwrap ;-)
Or that help menu item deliberately designed to be unhelpful and contain
no useful info.
With the original mac OS you can pretty much do without manuals. Though
they are working hard with OSX to force us to read the manuals. Not that
it helps all that much.
