In bad bug areas during the day I wear a bright white long sleave
dress shirt and the dish is bright white. That is the best
combination I have found. Bright red in one area I recorded in was a
killer for the bugs. I wore that because the Hum birds fly right up
to it. That works for the mic as well if you want the hum birds to
investigate your mic.
